Hi all, just a heads-up that there will be no training session tonight. Please check Spond for next week’s session details. We also have a game day coming up, so we need to know the numbers by Tuesday next week.
tarting from March, we will be adjusting our training times to start 30 minutes earlier. Please note the new schedule:
Rookie Cubs: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Doors open at 5:40 PM)
Lion Cubs: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The events in Spond will be updated to reflect these changes.
Attendance Reminder: We kindly ask all members to mark their children (not themselves) as attending each session in Spond at least a day before the session starts. This helps our coaches plan the sessions according to the number of attendees and ensures we have an accurate record for safety reasons.
If you are having trouble using the app, please contact one of the coaches for assistance.
Payment Reminder: There are a few outstanding payments due. Please check Spond to ensure your subs and game fees are up to date.
Coach Ben has set an awesome challenge for our Rookie Cubs and Lion Cubs over the last two weeks. Stickhandling is a core fundamental skill in hockey, and it’s something that our kids need to work on regularly as they grow and develop through the sport. Luckily, it’s super easy to practice at home!
We’re using this group to share daily evidence of the kids doing their 5-minute stickhandling practice. This not only motivates everyone to complete their own practice but also brings our team closer together as we support each other! πͺβ€οΈ
Let’s go Cubs! π¦ππͺ
P.S. We’ve been receiving amazing videos of the children practicing at home! Keep those videos coming, Cubs! πΉπ₯
30 minutes of drills: Players are split into abilities to ensure everyone gets the most out of their training.
30 minutes of scrimmage: Dark vs. Lights β a fun and competitive way to put your skills to the test!
This is an amazing session for anyone who is just getting into or back into the sport, as well as experienced players looking for more advanced drills. It’s a great way to improve your hockey skills and fitness.
