#RookieCubs – 6:00 PM Perfect for children learning to skate and grasping the basics of the sport. No equipment required.
#LionCubs – 7:00 PM Designed for more experienced players focusing on game-type drills and skill improvement. Own equipment required.

Also, we have places available for next season for anyone looking to join a new team for the 2025/2026 season. We aim to compete in various leagues (A, B, & C) across the UK.
Join us every Tuesday from 9:45pm to 10:45pm at Widnes Ice Rink for our new training sessions until the new season starts. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, everyone is welcome!
For just £15 per person, you’ll get 30 minutes of drills followed by a 30-minute scrimmage. It’s a great opportunity for those looking for extra ice time or wanting to give the sport a go.

🎉 Huge congratulations to the Lions Senior team for winning the UKIHF West B Leagues! With 8 wins and 1 draw, they’ve earned a spot in the Nationals. 🏆

This weekend, our Under 10s Cubs showcased massive improvements from their last set of games. Although they didn’t secure victories in the two matches, the personal progression of our Cubs was truly remarkable.
Our young players demonstrated excellent defensive strategies by pushing opponents out wide and battling fiercely along the boards. There were significantly more shots on goal, and the team showed great teamwork by focusing on passing the puck more effectively. Keep it up, Cubs! The improvements shown by everyone are nothing short of amazing. 🌟

We are excited to share the highlights from our latest Rookie Cubs training session on 12th May 2025! Our dedicated coaches, Dani and Doc, worked on basic stick handling and skating drills with all the players. Coach James focused on our youngest netminder, Freddie, helping him track the puck. By the end of the session, Freddie was catching pucks like a pro, thanks to connecting the dots!
The session concluded with a fun horseshoe drill, giving the Rookie Cubs a chance to shoot and Freddie to practice what they learned. It was a fantastic session filled with progress and smiles!
We welcome all children aged 4 to 14 to come and give inline hockey a try. No equipment or experience is required! Join us every Monday from 6pm to 7pm at Ardwick Sports Centre. The first month is free, and membership is just £25 a month after that. Come and be a part of the Lions family!
