Due to holidays we are short of senior players attending this Monday night training so we have called it off. We will refund anyone who has paid and be in contact shortly. We are looking to hold a Thursday night session if we can get enough down this week we will not be posting the event on our page but if you would like to attend please let us know before Tuesday midday as this will be when the decision will be made if we are holding the session or not and then post the event for payment. If it is not on we should be back to normal next week once the holidays are over.
We have been asked by players looking to play in the BRHA West C league on what jersey to get. We have decided the black jerseys will be the best ones to order as this team is part made up of Wild Lions players and new players to Lions. With this the Wild Lions main jersey is Black so it makes sense for players to buy the senior Lions Black jersey if they are not apart of the Wild Lions team.
We will also be dropping an email to everyone who has registered interest in playing for Lions this season on what the plan is going forward with all the teams and payments.
BRHA is now requesting the teams and players that are playing in the BRHA West & North West leagues.
Some of our teams are now close to being full so if you don’t want to miss out on a place for this season then fill out our Registration form.

We have places for both Players and keeps at any level so if you are new to the sport or looking for a new team fill out the registration form and we will be in touch with what happens next and let everyone know how we will communicate for the season.
We have had a big uptake in our teams for the 2023/2024 BRHA season with players wanting to take part in Junior Under 6s to 18s where we will be looking to enter teams in BRHA West Junior Leagues and Tournaments.
We have also had a lot of interest in female players playing in On The Rocks and the Women’s League.
Our new C team is starting to take shape well with a mixture of Female and Male players looking to take part We have seen players return and Juniors becoming a part of our Lions Senior team looking to play on the BRHA West B/A and BRHA North West Senior Leagues.
Not all places are taken and we still have player and keeper places left in our teams so if you would like to join Lions for the new season please fill out this registration form on what teams you or your children would like to take part in and we will be in touch with you regarding what happens next and when the fixtures will be released.
We have 5 sessions this week with a new Monday night Senior Training session.
Saturday we host our Lion Cubs junior inline hockey training. Designed for children aged 4 to 16. No experience or equipment required as we teach all the basic skills required to play inline hockey and we can also provide the basic equipment needed including skates.
Sunday Everyone Inline Hockey Class is designed for children and adults to learn the basics of playing inline and just like our junior training session no experience or equipment is required.
Monday night sees 2 training session being held.
Wild Lions Women’s inline hockey training. This session is a woman’s only training session but is designed for beginner and experienced players. We teach the basic skills required to play inline hockey as well as advanced skills required to play in games. We also provide skates and basic equipment if its required.
We are also holding an Open Senior Training session after our Wild Lions training but players who attend this session must have their own equipment and be over the age of 14.
We will also be holding our normal Senior Training at Atherton Roller Rink on a Thursday night and the event will be posted on Sunday.

Lions Inline Hockey Club would like to wish Oliver Gotts and the 2023 Elite British Select team the best of luck in Riga.
Oliver has been playing for Lions since he was an under 10 and playing for the senior Lions team in the BRHA North West and West Senior leagues for the 2023/2024 season. Oliver has always had a natural talent at playing hockey but most of all he has always taken in what he has been told by the coaches and players he has played with over the years especially when he is training with the senior players.
Oliver has also been giving his knowledge back to the club by helping teach our Junior and Women’s training sessions.
Everyone will be supporting you and the team but we are sure you will put in a hard worked performance in every game and fingers crossed you bring home some silverware.

Over the last few weeks, both coaches have been working on the players shooting on goal with an active netminder. This week you could really see the improvements in everyone. Most players can now lift the puck and are now waiting for the keeper to commit to a save or looking for areas the keeper is not covering as well as picking up rebounds.

Junior Lions are looking to play in the BRHA West League and Tournaments from October 2023 to July 2024
We are looking for children aged 4 to 16 to join our Junior Training and Everyone Inline Hockey sessions on a Saturday and Sunday and anyone who is 14 + to train with our senior player on a Thursday evening. We are looking for both players and keepers to join us. No equipment or experience is required.
Wild Lions are looking for more players and keepers to join our growing group of female players for the 2023/2024 season where we are looking to play in the 2024 BRHA On The Rocks Tournament as well as the West C or Womans League.
Wild Lions Training session is on a Monday 7:30pm – 9pm at Ardwick Sports Centre but we also welcome players to our Everyone Inline Hockey class and Senior Training sessions.
Senior Lions are looking for more players and keepers to join us and take part in the BRHA West A/B & C Leagues and the BRHA North West B League.
Training is on a Thursday 9pm until 10:30pm. You have to be aged 14+ to train with us and 16+ to play in the senior leagues as well as have all your own equipment.

Massive well done to Lions Under 16s team this weekend playing with 5 players plus a keeper, getting to the final where unfortunately they lost a very tight game 5 – 2, but even though they were gassed at the end they never gave up.
A.Rushby also took the most points award finishing on 38 with 21 Goals, 17 Assists.
Massive thanks to the parents for being the players down this weekend.
Shout out to Carl Dermott for running the bench and to Nicola Gotts for getting the team together for the season and the Nationals as without you two this weekend would have not been possible.
Also a big thanks to our Senior players and junior players who came down to support the team today and we can’t wait to see some of this team play with Senior Lions next season.
It’s been an amazing weekend of hockey at North West Roller Sports Rink and we are hoping that next season will be an even better one for the club as we enter more BRHA leagues.
