As we are about to get everything in place for the new Senior seasons we have opened out Thursday Night training to players from all our Senior teams and anyone who is looking to join a senior team or have extra training.
You must be at least a c level standard which is being able to skate and control a Puck as well as own all your own equipment.
We also have a keeper place available for training and one of our C league teams so if you would like to gain experience in games let us know.
Training is £10 per person at the moment but we are looking to add some pay monthly options in come October to help keep the costs down and confirm all our sessions go ahead over the season.
For more information on how to join one of our teams or training sessions contact us via our Contact Us page or on any of our social media platforms.
This week we split the group of children attending training into 2.
This recording was the side of the rink Coach James had where he took a group of children who were new to skating. We had a mix of players aged from 5 to 12.
James started by showing them the basic movements to move on skates and help build their confidence which all the children gained throughout the training session.
The children even tried backwords which is no easy thing to do especially the 1st time on skates.
They then finished off the class learning basic skating and controlling a puck.
Everyone who was a part of this group did amazing and we hope to see everyone again next week.
If you think your child would like to try inline hockey then why not bring them to our Lion Cubs Junior inline hockey training session on a Saturday morning 10:30am until 12pm at Ardwick Sports Centre M12 4DY.
No equipment or experience is required and their 1st two training sessions are free.
