This is the full Wild Lions training session from our Rink view camera setup.
This week Coach Olider lead the session with Coach James in between the sticks.
Over the last few weeks, both coaches have been working on the players shooting on goal with an active netminder. This week you could really see the improvements in everyone. Most players can now lift the puck and are now waiting for the keeper to commit to a save or looking for areas the keeper is not covering as well as picking up rebounds.
This week’s drills were as follows
00:00 – Intro
00:07 – 5 passes between 3 players and shoot on goal
24:24 – Figure 8 skating receives a pass and 1 on 0 with the keeper
35:58 – completing 3 passes finishing with 2 on 0 and following up on the rebound
46:50 – Fighting for puck possession and shooting on goal when the coach shouts
54:49 – Racing to get the puck and then playing on until one player scores.
