We’re thrilled to announce that our very own Oliver will be leading this Saturday’s session! Oliver, one of our senior players, has been with the Lions since he was a junior. The kids absolutely adore him because he always brings fun and engaging drills, from basic skating and shooting to mini-games and competitions.

If you haven’t experienced one of our sessions with Oliver, now’s your chance! Lion Cubs Inline Hockey training is perfect for children aged 4 to 14. No equipment or prior experience, including skating, is required. Plus, the first session is free! After that, it’s just £20 for a monthly membership or £8 per session.

Join us every Saturday at 10:30 AM and Monday at 6:30 PM at Ardwick Sports Centre. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to find equipment and get changed.

Our Wild Lions Inline Hockey Team has had an incredible first season! Despite picking up only 2 points, the team received glowing feedback from other teams on their improvements and playing style. 🏒

In the 2023/2024 BRHA West C league, the Wild Lions adopted a compact defense strategy, aiming to concede fewer goals while enhancing their attacking play. And guess what? It worked! As the season progressed, they spent less time defending and more time creating scoring opportunities. 🥅

Dani led the goal-scoring charge with 5 goals, while Claire and Frase tied for second place with 2 goals each. Grace and Sammy topped the assists chart with 2 each. 🙌

Big shout to Molly who only started playing inline hockey a few months ago and made her debut on Sunday have an excellent defensive game and even found herself on the score sheet.

Now, here’s the exciting part: you can join the pride! Whether you’re a seasoned player or a complete beginner, our Wild Lions team welcomes you. No experience or equipment? No problem! Your first session is absolutely free. 🤩

Are you on the hunt for a new team or just an extra session to sharpen your skills this week? Look no further! The Lions Senior Team is hosting an open inline hockey session at the North West Roller Sports Rink in Atherton.

🕘 When? Tonight at 9 PM sharp until 10:30 PM
💷 Cost? Just £10 per player or grab a monthly deal for £30!

We’ve got 2 netminders ready to go, and we’ll be running through about an hour of intensive drills followed by a thrilling game to cap off the night. This session is perfect for anyone with their own gear and at least a high C Level standard.

⚠️ Please note: This is the main Lions Senior training, so expect some high-level drills! If you’re new to the sport and looking for the basics, join us on Monday nights at the Ardwick Sports Centre.

Looking for a new senior team to join? Want to get back into the sport? The Lions Inline Hockey Club’s Thursday night training session is now open for new members! This session is tailored for A, B, and higher-level C league players, focusing on game plays and skills development.

🕘 When: Every Thursday, 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM
📍 Where: Atherton Roller Rink

Requirements:

• Must own all personal equipment
• Must be aged 14 or above

Payment Options:

• £10 “Pay as you Play”

Hey there, young sports enthusiasts! Are you ready to glide into the exciting world of inline hockey? The Lion Cubs junior team is calling all kids aged 4 to 14 to join the fun—no experience or equipment necessary!

At the Lions Inline Hockey Club, we believe every child should have the chance to learn and play. That’s why we offer comprehensive training sessions where we teach the essential skating skills first, followed by basic stick handling to get you started on your hockey journey.

Our friendly coaches are dedicated to making sure you have a blast while learning. We host two sessions a week:

• Saturdays at 10:30 am
• Mondays at 6:30 pm
  All sessions take place at the welcoming Ardwick Sports Centre.

To ensure you’re all set for the action, we ask our new members to arrive at least 20 minutes before the session. This gives you plenty of time to find the right equipment and be ready to hit the rink as soon as the session starts.

And guess what? Your first two sessions are absolutely free! After that, you can become a part of our club with just a £20 monthly membership or choose to pay £8 per session.

🏆 The Lions Senior Team has not just played the game; they’ve redefined it, clinching the coveted top spot of the BRHA North West League with a jaw-dropping 21-0 victory over the Outlaws and an impressive 11-3 win against the Raiders.

🌟 This season was a showcase of sheer determination and skill, with every player leaving an indelible mark on the rink. In their debut senior league season, Oliver and Alfie have been nothing short of sensational, seamlessly blending with the team’s dynamic and racking up points that defy their rookie status. Alfie, our defensive dynamo, closed the season with a stellar 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists), while Oliver, the assist maestro, amassed a whopping 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists), including an assist that will be etched in the annals of the season as the most ingenious.

🥅 Jack, our scoring sensation, topped the charts with an astonishing 86 points, finding the net 64 times and setting up 22 goals. Gaz followed suit with a commendable 51 points, and Jamie wasn’t far behind, contributing 44 points to the team’s tally.

💪 But make no mistake, this was a team effort through and through. Every player stepped onto the rink with a winner’s mindset, contributing to the scoreboard and crafting plays that turned into assists. This synergy has culminated in one of the most complete team performances in any league season.

👏 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the players for their unwavering commitment, the referees for their fair play, and the BRHA staff for orchestrating a seamless season.

🔜 Looking forward, the Lions are set to make their mark in the 2024 Nationals. And that’s just the beginning. The next challenge? The BRHA North West A League in the 2024/2025 season. We’re ready to elevate our game and roar louder than ever!
