What an amazing day at the UKIHF Junior Easter Iron-Man Tournament! This fun-filled event brought together players from the under 8s, 10s, 12s, and 14s leagues for an exciting 3-on-3 tournament. It was all about having fun, gaining experience, and making memories!
A massive well done to our Lion Cubs who took part:
- Hollie, our under 8s keeper, was outstanding all day. She faced some big, powerful shots from the older players but wasn’t fazed at all, making some incredible saves throughout the tournament.
- Isabella, who’s only been playing in goal for three weeks, pushed herself out of her comfort zone and joined the fun! She made brilliant saves, helped win games for her teams, and even made at least one save in numerous shootouts. What a fantastic achievement!
- Ellis, another under 8s player, joined in to gain experience playing with and against older players. His team, Top Banana, showed great teamwork and spirit, going on to win the tournament!
A huge thank you to all the players and parents for their support today, and a special shout-out to everyone who made Isabella feel so welcomed. It’s moments like these that highlight what the UKIHF Junior setup is all about: fostering a welcoming environment, building new friendships, and creating unforgettable experiences for all.
