What a day for our Cubs! Two tough games, two huge learning experiences, and plenty to celebrate.
Game 1 vs Predators
We knew this would be a challenge – a team stacked with experience against our Cubs, many playing up an age group. But wow, did they deliver! The focus was on keeping that defensive box shape we’ve been working on, and they nailed it. Most shots came from distance and the sides, and our netminder Lottie was outstanding – facing around 50 shots and only conceding 8 goals. Incredible effort! 👏
Game 2 vs Tricksters
This one was all about team play and game control. The rule was simple: score a goal, then you must assist before scoring again. It made for an exciting, tactical match where everyone contributed. The Cubs showed brilliant teamwork, breakout play, and learned what it means to win as a team rather than relying on one or two players. 💪
